Sometimes I have somewhat of a throwbackstalgia thing in my head, where I just kind of want to make old school-ish stuff… And here we are.

BA not-so-scream.vital (394.9 KB)
kinda sounds like the generic screamy square bass synth from 2011-2013, though Vital does not provide the scream filter (yet…?), thus forcing me to improvise

basic square lead.vital (245.1 KB)
and purplestep.vital (320.1 KB)
both happened by accident. I wanted a quick and dirty lead for one of random drafts, while I was playing around with actually doing melodies using my newly bought novation launchkey 37, which I later transformed to something that could be used in Purple City-esque dubstep

First attempt to create 303 style bass. It’s not amazing but it’s nice. Hoffman Acid.vital.zip (1.0 MB)

SNFKFutureBounce - Windchimes.vital (320.5 KB)

Ambient-like keys that add a lot of room to a track - I’m particularly proud of this one

Hey, Peter,
concerning our Kraftwerk patch, I just had an idea how to clean out some LFOs. We could just use a single LFO with an inclining ramp for all melodies by using mod remapping for each melody respectivly…
I should give this a try…

Edit:
Hahaaa! Success! And I still have two free LFOs left…

@Peter.H has posted a second patch on the topic of audio rate modulation in vital - interesting stuff. (Here’s his first post on the topic).

Damn crazy … what a clever idea. Love it!

If you check the metadata, that’s exactly what I did…

Yeah, cool … right after triggering the reply button I saw it myself …
When I open it it still has me a the author. Hope that is only because of some importing glitch.
If not yet, please put your name in the author box.

Edit: Damn, that is stupid. I have checked the Patch File and it has you as author … When opening the patch in Vital it puts my name in the author box!?1? Why?

Might be some import glitch. Maybe a bug.
I also managed to clear another LFO. LFO7 modulating the voice is not needed, because that is replaced by LFO1 modulating LFO3 modmapped to a square…
