How long until Vital incorporates GPU AUDIO PROCESSING?
1ms latency.
Works on 10xx series Nvidia cards (circa 2017).
They have partnered with Nvidia, are adding AMD this month and are working with Apple to include M1 Laptops and beyond…
This is the future:
At present it’s just convolution reverb, but they’re adding more effects and are building a DAW.
VITAL should jump on board!
Just a cool thing to see which I guess is coming on the next update, is that apparently Vital has CLAP support in development (final of the video):
Hmm theoretically this should work but I’ve only tested as far back as 10.14. Is the standalone black too?
Also if you click where the Vital icon would be in the top left does anything show up?
The standalone is black too, and nothing happens when I click at the place where the icon would be. The 1.0.7 version still works.
Matt the problem is that on mac it says that it doesn’t support metal graphics. is there anyway you can make a version with the older graphics for us mac user that have an older mac thank you

Ah that explains it ! Tnx Erin ! My videocard indeed doesn’t support metal.
What kind of mac are you running? Something pre 2012?
I also have a pre 2012 Mac pro running a ATI Radeon HD 5770, open GL believe.
Same results, a black screen but the onscreen keyboard works so it is partially functional.
Hi there!
Great to see CLAP support coming. I just found it and installed it.
I noticed one problem:
When I load Vital as CLAP plugin, I cannot use the space bar when searching within Vital, because it starts the arranger / clips. With VST3, there is no problem.
There is also another Problem: When choosing ASIO in standalone (thanks for adding it!), it constantly forgets my audio driver settings, so I have to define them each time I start Vital.
I’m using Bitwig Studio 4.3 Beta 10 and Vital 1.5.1.
Is this a known bug?
Thanks and best regards,
Simon
made a little video on the topic, I hope I covered everything, and I did justice to it, I do happen to have probably more questions than answers anyway, if you do have some answers, please let me know
Where is DL link for Pro and Subscribers for 1.5?
Thnks! Didn’t look from there.
what is the disadvantage of a public beta? bandwidth?
what is the advantage of a subscription/pro user? you get the beta earlier…
Bandwidth, but perhaps not the kind you’re thinking of.
The advantage of limiting a beta release to a smaller number of users is that it allows the developer to limit the volume of bug reports and other feedback coming in. Opening up to a public beta can have the result of getting flooded with bug reports, often times with a lot of duplication. If there’s, say, a particular bug that’s really easy to reproduce, maybe two of your closed beta testers would report it. Whereas with a public beta, you might have a hundred copies of it to sift through. And that’s on top of all the other reports that aren’t dupes!
But right there you just confirmed that a wider beta release would find more bugs.
I don’t necessarily look at having to beta test a new version as a privilege, more like a task. Those who paid more are working to help provide a bug free new version for those who paid nothing.
