There are several other threads with this issue. Seems people can’t login from China or with certain firewall settings.
I’m working on a new version that will work better offline.

That’s because the Text to Wavetable function uses an online service to create the Text to Audio and certain versions of Vital are restricted to the number of TTWT you can make per day. Hence you must be logged in.
