I came to vital fresh not having worked with some other synths that share a similar assigning and routing system. I’ve learned Vital (to a degree) and think it’s great.
However, while I don’t like “modular” and fiddling around with wires, I was thinking Vital might look cool and work well with patch chords kind of hanging over the UI. Amounts could still be set by wheel, but having color-coded “hanging” patch chords might be an efficient way to keep track of what’s going on in a patch. The “patch chords” would move out of the way or disappear when editing LFOs etc. maybe they can be turned on and off as needed? Anyway, this is not a feature request or suggestion. Just a ‘what if’ kind of thing.
