I currently am using FL Studio 21 if I’m not mistaken and I’ve been having issues for a while with Vital just bricking FL every time i add it to the piano roll. I’ve tried many different things such as using a CPU intensive project, using an empty project, using it in older versions of FL, upgrading FL (i was using 20 when this started happening and i upgraded to 21 to see if that was the problem), and all tests have concluded with the same result; so long as Vital is embedded into a project file, it will crash the application and prevent me from opening the recovery file. If someone has any idea what’s going on, please let me know.
Does the standalone work ?
What version are you on ?
Vst2 or vst3 ?
Mac or windows?
I’m using Mac. I’m not sure what update I’m on, but it doesn’t really matter cuz I can’t load an instance of it for an update anyways. Not sure how to run standalone either. And it should be VST3.
Click the V

You get this

AFAIK all versions lower than 1.5.5 lose the presets/settings in patches.
Well that would be nice for me to be able to do if it didn’t crash FL studio every time i tried to load one in.
Maybe find a way to start/find the standalone on a mac, I’m on PC and I just search for vital.exe and double click that, I don’t know how/where to find the standalone on a mac. Maybe use Google ?
Or
Or temporarily move the vital.config file (if you can find it) to your desktop. And start FL or the standalone.
