Saving presets in folders

Is there a way to organize presets in folders?

  1. The save presets dialog does not have a means of saving to a folder.
  2. “export preset” does not change where the preset is saved next time you use “save preset”
  3. “export preset” starts at the system root every time you use it, it does not remember where you last saved a preset
  4. Loading a preset from a folder does not cause that preset to be saved there next time you “save preset”

Basically, it REALLY wants all presets in the same, default User folder, and if I err even a little, I’m going to duplicate presets there and lose work because I’m working on the wrong version.

What am I doing wrong?

Only manually through your native file manager, at least in Windows. So first save to User folder, then move to another <vitaldata>/<foldername>/Presets folder.

ditto on mac,
where the structure might be like for example:

~/Music/Vital/name_as_you_like/Presets/mySuperCoolPatch.vital
