Hey im trying to record into audacity. Ive got the latest version of audacity, because it was not working with older ones. i can enable the vital vst 3 plugin, but then what? i cant seem to record with it. I have tried switching recording devices and host in every combination. i have even tried using my scarlett solo to get the computer to feed the sound into itself. No luck. Is there something im missing because ive looked all over the internet.
usually you record the midi information in a DAW and run the plugin after that, so that you can alter the sound even after the recording. audacity is not really a DAW, it is more some sort of a powerful audio tool. have a look at reaper or ardour for a free (cheap) DAW.
