New User CPU spike question

This may seem quite trivial.

I have a reasonably powerful desktop PC i7 9th gen with 16GB RAM.

Each time I change a patch in Vital I get the CPU warning symbol in the top right of my Ableton screen.
Usually there are no sound issues but the CPU warning will not go unless I click it to remove it. Once I remove it, it is gone until I change to a new patch.

Is this normal/usual?

Hmm it should stop processing but it sounds like it’s freezing the audio processing instead causing it to show 100% cpu. It shouldn’t cause any major problems other than causing some audio hiccups when changing presets.

I’ll look into it.
