In a tutorial video, Macro 1 is assigned to the wave table position.
When he plays the instrument, the Macro cycles through back and forth.
Maybe he’s using an older version, but the current version doesn’t behave like this.
When I do it, the Macro is static. It doesn’t move unless I move it manually.

So assuming you assigned the wavetable position to that macro he has that macro knob mapped to a midi controller. I think that’s what you’re probably missing. Otherwise you’re missing the fact that he clicked on the wavetable position and drug it and placed the modulator underneath macro one to link it.
You can map lfos and envs to the macro as well, so you could make cool shapes that way too
