Low GPU Mode for heat Reduction

Turn off all fancy graphics and keep the GPU as cold as possible.

GPU heat causes Macs to throttle the CPU.

The throttling is annoying, at the best of times, and far too aggressive, and most Macs have no way to turn it of as the old ways to do it are mostly not working anymore.

Some of the last rounds of intel MacBooks, the GPU gets hot fast, and the throttling is extremely aggressive to keep the TouchBar cool enough that it doesn’t wig out.

So something like a “turn off visual effects and blurs, blooms, glows, anti-aliasing” kind of mode, and that maybe halves the update rate of the graphics… whatever keeps the bloody GPU cold.

Sorry. I feel like this is an Apple problem made by Apple, that someone making something as wonderful and visual as this shouldn’t have to worry about.
