Laptop keyboard keeps disconnecting as midi keyboard

I use my laptop keyboard but every time I change on vital, it disconnects to my laptop keyboard.

What DAW are you using?

I am using FL Studio 20. As soon as I open the vital it produces sound when I press my laptop keyboard, but then when I tweak or click anything on vital then press my laptop keyboard again, then no more sound produced.

Make sure the little grid box next to where it says Presets on the wrapper toolbar is NOT lit up.
