Pretty sure this synth is dead, by which I mean unsupported. What’s your take? (Also, the free skeleton version only lacks wavetables, but I make all the wavetables. Weird decision on Vital’s part. See www.wavetables.lol.) Anyway, why do you use this synth as opposed to something with support like Korg modwave or Serum 2?
… or even Arturia Pure LoFi, which is also a legit (though buggy) wavetable synth.
I mean the short answer is its still a stable, easy to use, and high quality synth for most of us - vital stays ahead because of its flexibility
Heck even Helm still works just fine lol
Whats your favourite way to make wavetables?
‘Vital’ is for making music and as long as people make music on it , “Vital” will be alive. And because “Vital” is free and allows you to add new sound banks etc, it will be a powerful tool for many people around the world for many years to come. People from Poland, Canada, UK etc are writing on this forum as musicians using “Vital” and this will not change.

I’m very new to production, but I’ve already gotten too “attached” to the crazy warping options Vital has. Tried Serum 2 during the initial hype, and was disappointed to find that none of those were available on it.
That, combined with nitpicks about its UI (what the fuck is that effects section? is that really what all my favorite musicians look at every day?) made me uninterested, so I’m sticking with the free option. Phase Plant might eventually tempt me tho.
And ofc I’d love if Vital was supported again, and I’d heavily consider supporting it in turn
Vital is the best daily driver for me. It’s fast and intuitive. Phase Plant is super powerful but the workflow is naturally more convoluted due to the modular-ish approach. Vital isn’t a dead synth until its users abandon it or it stops functioning.
Is the development dead? Who knows. But as we’ve learned, it’s no use to expect updates. It is what it is.
Surely “Vital” will not remain dead for artists making art and wanting a synth they have come to know well and have learned to make music on it in a masterful way. ‘Vital’ was fine-tuned during the lockdown. And it was then in 2020 that it was time to work on “Vital” properly. And a well-made synth was created, as a powerful tool for mature musicians.
Of course, you can refine something indefinitely.
But “Vital” belongs to Matt and he decides what he wants and what he doesn’t want.
For me, some flaws in “Vital” don’t bother me so much, because it’s possible to function smoothly with them. Some things could be improved, but it is still very good.
