Initial preset problems

I accidentally made a sequence preset as my default preset and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to go back to the original initial preset that the vital plugin gives you when you first download the program. Idk if I need to factory reset it (idk how to go about that) or if I need to delete and reinstall the plugin as a whole, but any help or guidance on this would be awesome!!

Why do you need that?

You could make a simple preset with your most used stuff set up and save it as an init preset. Or if you want the init preset or at least similar you could reset most of the parameters, remove the modulations, load some simple LFOs like troangles to those, and load basic shapes to all the wts and white noise to the sampler and you’re good to go.

The init patch is supposed to give you the most useful starting point. I’ve had multiple ones along the years. You can also have different preset for different kinds of patches you tend to as blanks that serve as starting points and make it quicker for you to get there.

I’m super new to using VSTs so I’m not sure how to reset things or remove them :frowning: I’m struggling to even figure out how to remove multiple voices from the preset that I’m currently stuck on as well. I know that I can double click a knob to reset it to its default (which I’ve done for all of the effects that were added onto the voices in this preset) but without knowing how to remove the other voices, I feel like I can’t start designing new sounds from scratch. Thank you for your help though!!

Nvm I figured it out, I just looked up the initial preset thru a youtube video and replicated all of the settings to make my own initial preset!

Way to go! It’s kinda standard behavior in audio software now that double clicking on a parameter resets it to the default value.
