I'd gladly pay but

I’d gladly pay full price and support this plugin because it’s pretty amazing, but the fact that it freezes my iMac 2019 EVERY time I use it within 2 minutes makes it un-useable. Cubase, Reaper, Ableton, Studio One… VST 2 & 3, AU…
Can’t even get a response from Matt except edgy comments about how he’s tired of questions and it will be updated when it is. As a Dev, you need to take responsibility for your product or take the paid option off of the market. It’s dishonest to charge for a plugin when it’s broken and no bug reports are cared about or fixed.
I really want to use this synth but Iv’e told MANY people NOT to invest because the support is nonexistent. Such a shame…

I’ve even gone back to version 1.0.7 but this is SOOOO sluggish that it too is not an option.

UPDATE:

Soooo…
I deleted EVERYTHING pertaining to Vital on my Mac. All presets in the documents folder, all files found here:
/Applications/Vital.app
~/Library/Application Support/vital
~/Library/Caches/Vital
~/Library/Caches/Vital/audio.vital.standalone
~/Library/Cookies/audio.vital.standalone.binarycookies
~/Library/Preferences/autio.vital.standalone.plist
~/Library/Saved Applicaiton State/audio.vital.standalone.savedState

Reinstalled v1.5.1 and so far… no crashes or freezes. Fingers crossed.

EDIT:

loaded another instance and froze on impact… Oh well. Broken…

It’s a free synth. You even can’t pay for it. What you can pay for is additional content, prioritized support and first access to updates and new plugins, two latter of which don’t seem to deliver.

There are some snarky fans around who refuse to acknowledge the state of the fact. Just don’t mind them. We do make some fun about it, but personally it’s due to indifference and grim humor of the repeated confusion about the matter in the comments.

Vital is a free synth and you should use it as such.

So I DID pay for that stuff and didn’t get prioritized support and there have been NO updates. Free isn’t worth S**t if it crashes all the time.

“Vital is a free synth and you should use it as such.”
What does that even mean?

It means that as a free product you shouldn’t expect it to meet commercial standards for software and user support. That said, the webpage does promise more than what is delivered, just as I wrote.

Prioritized support does not mean you get a personal patch or bug squasher - if Matt said he’s still working on a fix, that’s not edgy that’s the answer to your question my guy

Paying for something does mean it’s not without bugs or works flawlessly - have you ever played a Steam game on Mac? Lol.

I’d suggest learning the stock plugins for Cubase, Reaper, Ableton, and Studio One.
With that many DAWs around you have more than enough tools at your disposal - arguably even more powerful than Vital when used correctly
