Help using X/Y Grid Settings in rhymic and tonal contexts

Hi,

My monkey brain understands how to set and use the X/Y grid for various modulations of pitch or rhythms, but I’m sure some of you understand it better. Any common techniques, formulas or other tips would be welcome.

For example, how do you create, say, two 32nd notes within a pattern of 8ths? Or, say, two 8th notes, then an 8th note triplet and so on?

I’ve been using an LFO set to one Measure as a kind of Master Sweep for the boundary to modulate Level or Pitch or sometimes both (or other things) and then Mod Remap to create the pattern.

Thanks for any suggestions or tips.
