Fractional LFO duration or loop point snap to grid

I’m trying to make a 7/8 sequence as LFO envelope and here’s what I found:

  • There is a Loop Hold mode that kinda does what I want but the slider doesn’t snap to the grid. Therefore the sequence will drift in time if the slider is not perfectly positioned.
  • “Set start point” doesn’t seem to do anything in both loop modes. If it worked, that might have solved the problem.
  • Ideally it would be great to be able to enter LFO frequency as a custom fraction (like 7/8 or 5/4).
  • You can also pull out a calculator and compute the target frequency in Hz, but where’s fun in that?

If I missed something and you know how to do it, please share.

Edit: Best way I found so far - use “Loop Hold” mode, calculate the fraction and use it as the slider value.
For example: 7/8 = 0.875, input this as slider value under the LFO, set the grid to 8.

you could connect another lfo B to lfo A’s phase offset slider, then remap B in the matrix like this

with a grid of 1 - 8, then you can adjust the fraction there with the step brush
