Filter significantly reduces volume

Hi everyone,

I keep noticing that as soon as you switch on the filter and use a little cutoff, the volume of the oscillator(s) drops dramatically, especially if you turn up the resonance…

Of course this is due to pure physics, but I’ve never heard it so drastically.

Of course I can turn up the filter drive, but that changes the sound immensely.

What other solution is there for this? Master Volume? Or is this a known bug?

Thank you!

If the filter is dropping volume significantly, it likely means the signal is getting clipped as soon as the filter turns on, do you know if that’s the case?
Try lowering the osc volumes together before the filter, and see if you can compensate the volume elsewhere, compressor or master volume

Sometimes it’s better to turn things down before turning then back up, if that makes sense
