Matt this is my graphic card. Now with the most recent update that you did I can see the screen now but it has a lot of glitches hopefully you can resolve that problem for all of us with this Mac model Thank your for hard work. hope to see some new presets to buy all also
Having an issue w 1.5.1:
I normally use logic pro on a Macbook air (M1, 2020, Monterey 12.5) connected to an external monitor. Trying to load Vital when logic is displayed on the external monitor results in error (âAn Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem which might cause the system to become unstable. Please quit and restart Logic Proâ).
No problem when using the Macbookâs own monitor. Thanks
Alright I just reproduced this. I can only get it to happen if the second monitor is lower res (e.g. happens on my 1080p monitor) is that consistent with what youâre seeing?
It works fine on a secondary 4k monitor.
Yeah Iâm still looking into this pre 2012 mac issue. I have a fix if I disable some of the new graphics features but Iâd like to just get it working fully on these older macs.
I appreciate the fix on the preset browser remembering where you were.
Can we get it so that the initial default order of the presets fall under the NAME category rather than the DATE the preset was created⌠Opening the plugin im always having to click the name tab to reorder and find what im looking for⌠Easier to remember names rather than individual dates
Figured out how to fix this⌠Edit Theme Values then Macros then ModulationMeterWidth and MeterBoundsBuffer⌠Set these to 0 and it should center the macro names (as far as I can see)
Hi @Tytel, hope this message finds you well; I purchased the Pro version of Vital a while back, but my vst plugin version shows 1.0.8 and in my online account I only see that version. How do I get the new 1.5.1 version? Thanks in advance.
Go to your account page on the vital.audio site, in the list of âYour productsâ over the download links, click on âAll downloadsâ and youâll find it.
Hi @Tytel !
Very impressive update indeed. Unfortunately Vital 1.5.1 has the same problems under Ubuntu (and Linux Mint) that version 1.08 had. That is the official Ardour 6.9 bought from www.ardour.org, does not detect the plugin (vst and vst3). I was hopping that this version of Vital has statically linked the libraries which caused the problem in 1.08 if you recall, but for some reason this is not the case, apparently. Given this is still in beta, and there is still time to fix this, I would like to draw your attention to this issue.
I donât think the static linking was an issue on Ubuntu and was just an issue on non-debian distros (which I technically donât support).
With this new version I tested on a newly installed version of Ubuntu and Manjaro (arch based) and it works. So not sure what the issue is here but Iâm pretty sure itâs not the linking. Does the standalone app work for you?
It works only with Ardour that comes with the Ubuntu and Mint repositories.
It does not work with Ardour downloaded from the official website (www.ardour.org) like every other plugin I use does. e.g surge or odin2
And yes the standalone Vital works just fine. The issue is with the vst and vst3 plugins
I see. Iâll stay with the repository version, as it is the only option I have at the moment.
(I forgot to mention than neither the flatpak version of Ardour can detect plugins)
Thank you Matt.
Any info about when the final release of Vital 1.5.1 will be ready?
Im wondering this aswell Matt⌠Have seen some amazing videos on 1.5.1, awesome work you have put in, but my wallet dont allow pro right now so im eager waiting⌠Do you have any updates? Last i heard you said somewhere around June which came and went⌠You think before August?
