EPMD - Get off the bandwagon | how to make that bassline!?

I’m trying to recreate this bassline:

What I hear (for the “main part”):

d - d d | x d f x | d d d d | x d d x
d - d d | x d f x | d d d d | x d d d

“-” = hold
“x” = rest

It sounds that the bassline is made with two basssounds!?

How would you recreate them - I’m most interested in the “higher” bass sound?
