Can Vital listen to a single midi channel only?

I use midi thru and chain a physical synth on the same path. I can limit the device to a specific midi channel, and want to be able to have vital listen on a single midi channel. Is this possible?

I use Cubase 11 elements, it appears like this should work.

You could have the midi on one track, put Vital and the physical synth on 2 new tracks, and just route the midi to both tracks, putting on some sort of midi channel manipulator for Vital.

Thanks. Iā€™d like to have the two independent. As is, I can turn off the monitoring, but I want to leave vital ringing.
