I am using FL studio 24 and vital now crashes every time I try to use it, both standalone and in my DAW.
I’m using windows 11 and I tried using older versions before 1.5 but all my patches within my projects reverted to init default patch.
Please someone help me fix this or @Tytel could you see if you can fix this issue asap? Vital is basically my primary plugin I use for my sound design!!

the crash is not affected by os version. people have it on windows 11 as well as windows 7. the gfx card is also not affecting the crash; some have new extremely fast gfx cards and still experience the crash whereas on older pc with old gfx card vital works fine. im on win 7 with gtx 980 and vital is crashing everytime. doesnt matter if it’s standalone or vst either. i tried disabling the driver and vital crashes but it’s not even showing anything. when driver is enabled the crash shows a black turning to white background then crashes after 2 secs. mr tytel switched from opengl to directx 11 from version 1.5.1 and onwards but someone who has directx 12 still gets the same crash. another guy who experiences the crashes had gtx 460 se, then switched to gtx 770 and vital worked fine. so it’s probably hardware plus directx combination issue. my crash log shows this:
3: UnhandledExceptionFilter + 0x160
4: longjmp + 0xc2f5
5: _C_specific_handler + 0x8c
6: _chkstk + 0x9d
7: RtlInitializeResource + 0x53a
8: KiUserExceptionDispatcher + 0x2e
22: configthreadlocale + 0x92
23: BaseThreadInitThunk + 0xd
24: RtlUserThreadStart + 0x1d
good luck to us all!
Hello,
A test of of Vital 1.5.1-1.5.5 in Windows 11 confirms that standalone Vital crashes (same happens with VST3/CLAP in FL Studio V25.2.3 (build 5171)
Vital 1.0.7-1.0.8 works without an issue in short run on same computer with same configuration.
Red Fox
Same here. Paid for upgrade to Pro, none of the content would work in 1.5, but every version above that crashes. Company hasn’t responded to refund request in over two months.

Just downloaded the newest version and installed it on an older computer on a fresh Win 11 home install. It wouldnt start up.
Downloaded the version below 1.5 and it works fine. Something broke moving to 1.5 and is still not fixed.
I was able to install the newest version on my newer laptop today, it seemed to have an extra step after installing to activate that did not happen on the early computer, never got there, may be related to that, or maybe not…
