Would be good if you could assign lfos and envelopes to the macro controls. Could get some really complex patches very quickly.

Do you mean assigning LFO to a macro knob?
You can do this by dragging an LFO/Envelope and dropping on a Macro.
In the matrix, select an LFO/Source in the Source and then a Macro (Macro 1, Macro 2, etc.) in the Destination.
You’ll find macros listed in Destination → Global → Macro 1/2/3/4
