no click reaction, The click is only registered when I move the mouse after the click (when selecting preset in the browser, click on the virtual keyboard)
it not happens if i click multiple time on the arrows of the preset selector
Curious if this is with the clap version or all versions? On Fedora 44 the vst3 version works fine but can’t get the clap version to load after I entered the product key in the vst3 version. I do not experience lag in the vst3 version
it is still 1.6.4
i downloaded the Linux ZIP (no installer) and DEB
System is now mx linux 25.2 or lets say up 2 date
I only have CLAP visible an no ERROR about the VST3 but its not shown.
all is installed in the right folders.
same issues, midi reaction via midi keyboard is flawless, but no midi assignment
clicking with mouse lag as before
vst3 not found
CLAP Log Snippet:
[2026-06-24 09:55:07.137 float-main-app error] Plugin misbehaving Vital: plugin called clap_host_params.request_flush() on the AudioThread which implies that the plugin is either being called in clap_plugin.process() or being called by clap_plugin_params.flush().
Do you have in settings to prefer clap plugins? That’s usually what prevents the vst version from showing up unless you don’t have the install directories mapped like /usr/lib/vst3.
This is a different error than what I got in Bitwig 5.2.13. Clearing metadata and cache worked for me. I removed all of the clap plugins and reinstalled before running and then reinstall the plugins.
Have you tried pointing bitwig to the /usr/lib/vst3 directory? It’s not a security issue as you still need sudo to modify the directory. Did you clean your cache and get clap working? Bitwig-studio gets installed in /opt and so do many other programs so I don’t understand the issue, it’s pretty standard. Yes I agree I prefer ~/.vst3 ~/.clap but if you install any of The Usual Suspect emulators they go into /usr/local/lib/vst3/.
